PonGL 1.20

PonGL is a remake of Pong with 3D design and oldstyle 2D gameplay. more>>
PonGL is a remake of Pong with 3D design and oldstyle 2D gameplay.

PonGL is a small game based on mythical Pong. It has however a lot of graphical and gameplay improvements.

The aim is to throw the ball behind the adverse paddle to get the advantage. Once you get it, the level rotates and your paddle moves to the front of the camera to make life harder for the other player.

The original style is preserved: black & white, 2 dimensions gameplay, simplistic design. However, the concept is improved a little thanks to the use of 3D. (see the screenshots for a more precise idea).

There are actually three modes: single player against a wall, single player against 5 AI difficulties, 2 players on the same keyboard.

This game is available in English and in French (select your language by clicking on the small flag in the main menu), works on both Linux and Windows and is under GNU/GPL license.

libffi is a library that really only provides the lowest, machine dependent layer of a fully featured foreign function interface.

A layer must exist above libffi that handles type conversions for values passed between the two languages. ffi stands for Foreign Function Interface.

A foreign function interface is the popular name for the interface that allows code written in one language to call code written in another language.

Libffi has been ported to:

SunOS 4.1.3 & Solaris 2.x (Sparc v8)
Irix 5.3 & 6.2 (System V/o32 & n32)
Intel x86 - Linux (System V ABI)
Alpha Linux and OSF/1

Xfprot is a graphical frontend for F-Prot Antivirus. more>>
Xfprot project is a graphical frontend to the F-Prot Antivirus for Linux Small Business Edition 3.12b/c/d, 3.13, 4.1.0, 4.2.0, 4.3.0 and 4.3.1 by Frisk Software International (www.frisk.is) which is free of charge for personal use.

Xfprot up to and including version 0.19beta was based upon the XSTEP-3.5.1 library 1996-2001 by Marcelo Samsoniuk and collaborators and released under the LGPL license.

Starting from version 0.20beta XFPROT is based upon Gtk+ 1.2 libraries. From version 1.0-rc2 it is also possible to use the Gtk+ 2.2 libraries.

Xfprot is tested only on Linux (Mandrake 9.0 ,9.1, 9.2, 10.0) but probably should compile and work also on other distributions, on some *BSDs and on other Unixes.

DigiCam 1.20

DigiCam 1.20

DigiCam is a command-line interface to Kodak DC21x Digital Cameras. more>>
DigiCam is a command-line interface to Kodak DC21x Digital Cameras. I own a Kodak DC215Zoom and its pretty shitty.

Ive compared images my camera makes with others, and I guess there is just something subtly screwed with my camera.

Focus mechanics or something. Ill probably dump this crap and get a real camera one of these days.

What you can do with it:

* Display camera or specific picture information;
* Display number of pictures in the camera;
* Delete any picture from the camera;
* Delete all pictures from the camera in one step;
* Take picture, save to file, delete picture from the camera in one step;
* Retrieve any picture and save to file;
* Retrieve all pictures, and save to current directory as imageNNN.jpg;
* Set resolution to High or Low before taking a picture;
* Set picture quality before taking a picture;
* Set Flash mode before taking a picture;
* Set Zoom value before taking a picture;

Run "cam" without any parameters for a complete list of possible options. Some options can be combined to make cam usable inside scripts. Please use common sense, and dont combine options like -d and -R, or -t and -d

Graphico 1.20

Graphico 1.20

Graphico is an open source 3D graphics application programming interface. more>>
Graphico is an open source 3D graphics application programming interface.

Graphico works with either Java or C++. The design of Graphico is based on OpenGL. Two independent Java versions of Graphico exist. The first version renders to a Java image that can be displayed in a Java application or any internet browser capable of executing Java 1.1 code. The second version uses Java 3D for increased performance. The C++ version uses OpenGL.

The different versions of Graphico are known as:

GoJava

This version uses Java to do all of the rendering. The Java 3D extension is not utilized. Using this version of Graphico allows for displaying in any browser capable of executing Java 1.1 code, which includes Internet Explorer and Netscape. With this version of Graphico it is possible to integrate Graphico into HTML documents. Since this version is the most portable and integrates well with the internet, all examples with this distribution use this version of Graphico. While this version is suitable for many things, it is not suitable for rendering complex large scenes at high animation frame rates. When better animation performance is required, the same Java applet/application can run with the GoJava3D implementation of Graphico.

GoJava3D

This version makes use of Java 3D. If you have have special 3D graphics hardware and an implementation of Java 3D that is set up to work with the graphics hardware, then this is the best way to run a Graphico applet/application. With this version it is more difficult to reach all internet users with Graphico graphics and to incorporate Graphico into an HTML document, which is why the GoJava implementation exists.

GoCpp

This version is a C++ version that uses OpenGL as the Graphico rendering engine. It serves as an easy way to move Graphico graphics code between Java and C++. This version is not implemented with any special GUI (Graphical User Interface) in mind. While all the C++ example in this distribution use the GLUT (OpenGL Utility Toolkit) via GoGlutInterface, it is not necessary to do so. Just like OpenGL, Graphico leaves all GUI specific code up to the programmer.

LogMiner 1.20

LogMiner 1.20

LogMiner is a powerful log analysis package for Apache. more>>
LogMiner is a powerful log analysis package for Apache (or other web servers using the combined log format).
LogMiner can extract and present several reports, about visits, hits, traffic, requests, navigation paths, browsers and OSs used by users and so on.
Data is stored in a PostgreSQL database, using a schema which has been optimized to reduce redundancy at minimum.
LogMiner has been inspired by the popular Webalizer package, but it differs in certain core points:
data is stored in a DBMS backend and reports are generated on-the-fly, while Webalizer generates plain html files. A DBMS allows to extract and aggregate data in many ways, whenever you need. A drawback is that you wont have the processing speed of Webalizer when parsing log files.
Webalizer only indexes the last 12 months of data: previous reports are still on disk, but arent accessible from any link. This is the most annoying thing of Webalizer, in my opinion: Im sick of having hundreds of unused files around
LogMiner allows to navigate to previous months easily.
Webalizer reports are hardcoded in the program. LogMiner implements reports in a more extensible way. Each report is in fact a simple PHP class, usually supported by a PL/pgSQL function (although youre free to insert your SQL queries in the PHP code if you like).
LogMiner offers more reports than Webalizer: for instance, the OS charts and the navigation graphs.
Depending on your needs, you might prefer LogMiner over Webalizer, especially if you like having a central SQL repository for your data which enables you to extract the data you need at any time, or to add a kind of report which wasnt planned from the start and apply it to older data.
If you dont have a PostgreSQL database or you expect to process huge log files in seconds, go for Webalizer.
Enhancements:
- This release adds support for libpqxx 2.6.9.
- SQL errors are now logged and dont interrupt the parsing of log files.

Loadmeter 1.20

Loadmeter 1.20

Loadmeter project is a Linux/Solaris system resource monitor that uses very little memory, and is written using raw Xlib. more>>
Loadmeter project is a Linux/Solaris system resource monitor that uses very little memory, and is written using raw Xlib.

It monitors:

- Load average
- Uptime
- Disk usage
- Memory usage

In its normal state it displays a window with a coloured bar graph showing the load average for the past minute. This is also shown in digits at the top of the window. both are updated every second. A red notch marks the maximum load since it was started, and can be reset by pressing button2 or hidden with button3. The blue notch shows the 5 minute load average.

By clicking with button1, a pop-up window appears showing the uptime, the capacity of each filesystem, and memory/swap usage. More detailed info on each filesystem is available by highlighting the corresponding one. The way this window pops down is intentional, just to make it interesting.

Any filesystems with higher usage than specified by the -warn option (default 90%) are shown with a (default)green background. The -disk option can also be used as an instant warn feature.

Press Escape in the top level window to exit.

Loadmeter also has the ability to override window managers. Giving the option -override causes the top-level window to have the override_redirect bit set. This is useful for window managers that insist upon decorating standard clients (eg Enlightenment, at least up to DR0.9). If youve given this option, then you can still resize and move the window. During moving and resizing, the cursor displays the geometry.

Ctrl-button1 lowers the window.
Ctrl-button2 raises and moves the window.
Ctrl-button3 raises and resizes the window.
A SIGUSR1 sent to the process will also raise the top level window.

There is also a -parent switch, which can be used to specify another window (in decimal or hex form) to use as the parent for the toplevel one (default is the root). This is useful for banking several together inside another window for easy positioning, etc. The lower function doesnt work if -parent is specified. Also note that you cant use both -override and -parent at the same time.

Command-line options:

-disp < display> Specify which X server to connect to
-geom < +x+y> Specify position on the screen
-sync Call sync() when checking disk usage
-numfont < font> Use for the load digits
-labelfont < font> Use for the hostname label
-popupfont < font> Use for the cursor and popup window
-popupbg < colour> Use for the popup background
-popupfg < colour> Use for the foreground of the popup
-warnbg < colour> Use for the high disk usage warning colour
-meter < colour> Use for the disk usage meter bar
-warn < pct> Min percent capacity reqd to highlight a filesystem
-label < label> Bargraph label to use instead of the hostname
-name < name> Name of the app to present to the WM
-bh < blockheight> Height of individual bargraph blocks (in pixels)
-override Always override window manager
-parent < window> Use as the parent for the toplevel window
-noshrink Dont do fancy popup window shrinking
-disk Show a warning when disk usage exceeds -warn value
-nogeom Disables displaying the window geometry in the cursor whilst moving/resizing the main window.

Term::TUI 1.20

Term::TUI 1.20

Term::TUI is a simple tool for building text-based user interfaces. more>>
Term::TUI is a simple tool for building text-based user interfaces.

SYNOPSIS

If TUI_Run is the only routine being used:
use Term::TUI;
$flag=&TUI_Run($command,%desc);

$version=&Term::TUI::TUI_Version;
If other TUI subroutines are used:
use Term::TUI qw(:all);
$flag=&TUI_Run($command,%desc);

&TUI_Out($message);

$flag=&TUI_Script(%desc,$script,$sep);

Many times, Ive wanted to quickly write a nice text-based user interface around a set of perl routines only to end up writing the full (though simple) parser and interface to make it nice enough, and friendly enough, to be usable.

This module creates a simple but powerful text based user interface around perl routines, adding such features as command line history, command line editing, and online help (command completion will also be implemented), while hiding all details of the interface from the programmer.

The interface is described in a simple hash which is passed to the TUI_Run command. This routine exits only when the user has exited the program (returning a flag signalling any special exit conditions).
