This application is a graphical user interface to OpenSSL, RSA public keys, certificates, signing requests and revokation lists. more>>
This application is a graphical user interface to OpenSSL, RSA public keys, certificates, signing requests and revokation lists.
The keys do have an internal counter, counting its use to avoid a duplicate use of a key for creating a certificate or request. The Keys are encrypted in the database file.
Xca supports next to the usual PEM and DER format of certificates the import and export of PKCS#12 (aka *.pfx) files and the Certificate import from PKCS#7 files.
Certificates can be created by self signing it, by signing it by an other (usually CA) certificate or by signing a PKCS#10 request. Netscape SPKAC is supported since version 0.4.6. The validity dates and x509.v3 extensions can be adjusted to fit ones needs. The use of multiple certificates in CA chains is supported and a tree view of the certificates reflects the dependencies. The application takes care to not create duplicate certificates by checking the serial number(s) on import and creation of certificates.
Certificate Templates can be used to preset the input dialog with reasonable values and to simplify the process of creating certificates and requests.
Issued certificates can be revoked and the revokation list can be created and exported. External revokation lists can be imported and examined.
Main features:
- Database
- Uses one local databasefile for all settings, Keys, Requests and Certificates. IMHO it is an advantage and not a disadvantage
- transactions, recovery and db-exceptions are used to keep it consistent.
- Keys
- import and export of PEM, DER, PKCS#8 private and public RSA keys.
- Key generation with variable length
- Keys are 3-DES encrypted in database
- PKCS#10 Requests
- import and export of Requests.
- Request generation.
- X509 Certificates
- Generation of self signed and foreign signed Certificates.
- Tree view of Certificate chains.
- All x509 v3 extensions are implemented.
- Certificate dependend autoincrementing serialnumbers.
- Pre setting of the signing serial number.
- Shows Subject, Issuer, Serial, Dates, V3 extensions, SHA1 and MD5 fingerprints.
- CRL export for CA certificates.
- generate request from certificate.
- import and export in DER, PEM and PKCS#12 format.
- several export formats containing certificate chains or not.
- Signing and encryption of files added, they are written in PEM PKCS#7 format
- Export to TinyCA or "openssl ca" filestructure
- Certificates in tree view or in plain view
- Sorting of certificates by date or serial
- All known X.509 name-entry OIDs can be used in the distinguished name
- The hash algorithm for signing is selectable
- templates
- Generation of predefined CA, Client and Server Templates.
- Certificates and Requests can use the Templates
- Revokation lists
- Import, export, detailed view and creation of CRLs
Enhancements:
- Break endless loop in chain building. Bug [ 1696878 ]

Gnomba 0.6.2
Gnomba is a share browser for the smb protocol. more>>
Gnomba is a share browser for the smb protocol.
Gnomba allows you to scan any number of subnets for machines with smb. The workgroups, machines and share are shown in a tree-view.
For each machine you can then view the list of shares, and mount, unmount or browse them.
Right now gnomba is a separate tool. In theory it could/should co-exist with a file manager, perhaps even be part of it. We have made no attempt to do any file browsing, instead we leave that for your favorite file browser (or command line).
Well, I used to explain here how we dont use smb "master browser" scanning. However now we do. If you specify smb scanning (which is set by default) you need to have smbd and nmbd running on your machine.
If you specify IP scanning, you must specify a range of IPs to scan. This is usually just your subnet, so for instance if your network address is 10.23.45.0 then you would probably want to scan from 10.23.45.1 - 10.23.45.254.

dcache 0.6.2
dcache is a database library implementing a persistent first-in-first-out cache. more>>
dcache is a database library implementing a persistent first-in-first-out cache.
The database (or `cache) size limits are configured at creation time, and as soon as they are reached the oldest records are automatically removed.
dcache library has a number of commandline tools for managing the database.
dcache is a disk based caching database in a single file containing a header and fixed sized hash and data space.
The header holds variables and constants describing the database.
The hash table holds pointers into the data area and hashes of the keys. The hash function used is a crc32.
The data area consists of the data, the key, a 64bit number with application defined use, and two 32bit numbers holding key and data lengths.
The header and hash table are mapped into process address space using the mmap(2) system call. The data area is not memory mapped, thus allowing to handle multi-gigabyte files even on systems with a 32bit address space.
Main features:
- The database size is limited to 63 bits on operating systems supporting large files.
- The database size is limited to 31 bits (2 gigabytes) on operating systems not supporting large files.
- The sum of the length of key, data and record overhead is limited to 31 bits (2 gigabytes).
- The record overhead in the data area is 16 bytes.
- The number of possible keys is limited by the address space of the process, or somewhat over 200 million, whatever comes first.
- Storage of numbers is done in big endian byte order (network byte order). Databases are portable between hosts with different byte orders.
- The size of the cache and the number of records in it are set at creation time.
- The cache is cleaned up automatically, removing old records if theres not enough space for data or records.
- Deletions are supported.
- Multiple readers and writers are supported, provided that the applications lock to database.
- Keys need not be unique.
The dcache library files are published under the GNU Lesser General Public License (dont hesitate to ask me if this is a problem for you). The tools are published under the GNU GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE.
Enhancements:
- This release fixes a few compiler and linker warnings, among them those breaking the self check when using dietlibc.
- No functional changes were done.

openMSX is the MSX home computer system emulator that aims for perfection.
Almost all MSX machines are emulated: MSX1, MSX2, MSX2+, Turbo-R... And also quite some extra hardware is emulated: SCC, SCC+, FM-PAC, Music Module, PSG, Moonsound, Sunrise IDE, Disk Controllers, MIDI, almost all memory mappers, etc... Actually, more than any other MSX emulator!
It also features quite some extras: rendering using openGL acceleration, full screen, built in console (based on TCL), MSX debugging facilities, scalers, using directories as disk images (still buggy though), screenshots, speed settings, frame skip, scanlines, TV-blur, afterglow (GL), and more...
For a really long description: again, please see our home page.
Do note that openMSX is alpha software, which means that some things work but not all features are implemented yet.

K3DSurf 0.6.2
K3DSurf is a program who generate 3D surfaces with Mathematical formulas. more>>
K3DSurf is a program who generate 3D surfaces with Mathematical formulas ( Parameter or Explicit equations).
A more advanced version is under construction so all your comments are welcome. K3DSurf program was made just for fun, to pass time and to learn some basic 3D drawing technics(without OpenGL).
If you cant run Linux, You can find an applet Java here : http://www.wintonet.com/java/j3dsurf.html. Its called J3DSurf...I hope also to finish a Gtk an Xwindow version soon(G3DSurf and X3DSurf).
Main features:
- Interactive visualization with mouse events (Right: Rotate, Middle: translate and left: Scale).
- Real time animation (rotation) and morph (by the introduction of t_time variable). Animation and morph can also be monitored by controls that affect the CPU usage and t_time step.
- Create screenshots by copying the draw window or by using the best ray tracer on the net: Povray.
- Create movie scene is also supported
- Generate Mesh files that describe the shape of the mathematical model.
- Supported formats are:
- 1. Povscript : Povray is the best ray tracer available on the net...and its free.
- 2. VRML2: to use with the majority of current browsers via an appropriate plug-in.
- 3. OBJ: a well-known file format supported by the majority of 3D applications (Blender, MAYA and Moray...).
Enhancements:
- General:
1) New GUI interface, with menus and toolbar.
2) Possibility to save a config file to store infos about colors and isosurfaces resolution.
- Isosurface:
1) The OpenGL viewer has the possibility to go as height as 10MTriangles/Grid 500 (such objects however require more than 15G of RAM or more than 1G of hard drive space for the equivalent .OBJ file).
2) Add possibility to export the "Minimal topology" as an .OBJ file: A new table for the Marching Cube algorithm was made from scratch (released under the GPL licence, we dont think such table is available on the net) that can generate a small amount of polygons compared to the original one.
3) Add Possibility to show more than one Isosurface.
4) Possibility to store/load/delete Isosurfaces formulas.
5) Possibility to turn ON/OF the new parser for fast math calculations.
5) New examples.
- Parametric:
Possibility to store/load parametric formulas.
