rit 0.5.0

rit 0.5.0

rit is an Ruby IMAP tool. more>>
rit is an Ruby IMAP tool.

It can be used to manipulate mailboxes over IMAP, allowing you to copy and delete mailboxes and their contents.

When copying a mailbox, its subscription status and all of the IMAP flags of the messages it contains are preserved on the destination server. You can also perform dynamic mailbox name translation if you need to rename the mailboxes as you copy them.

The software has been fairly heavily tested using Cyrus IMAP 2.1.12 and version 3.2.3-GA of the Mirapoint operating system. A few system I/O errors have occurred during that testing, but all known logical bugs in the program have now been eliminated.

The software has not been tested with the University of Washington IMAP server and is unlikely to work, due to namespace issues. This may be investigated for a later release. If you are in a position to test such a set-up and supply a patch, I would be glad to hear from you.

PIDA 0.5.0

PIDA 0.5.0

PIDA is the Python Integrated Development Application. more>>
PIDA project is the Python Integrated Development Application.
PIDA is an IDE, but one that is slightly different from other IDEs (pyGTK required). Rather than attempting to write a set of development tools of its own, PIDA uses tools that the developer has available. In this regards PIDA can be used as a framework for putting together your own bespoke IDE.
Although still a young application, PIDA can already boast a huge number of features because of the power of some of the tools it integrates. For example features such as code completion and syntax highlighting are well implemented in PIDAs integrated editors far better than any editor built for a commercial IDE.
PIDA currently features: FUll code editing (syntax highlighting, code completion, automatic indenting, block commenting etc) Project management, version control management, Python debugger and profiler, GTK graphical user interface building and rapid application design, Pastebin integration.
Enhancements:
- The core was rewritten.

wGui 0.5.0

wGui 0.5.0

wGui is a simple, platform-independent dialog manager library using SDL and FreeType2. more>>
wGui is a platform independent dialog management library based on SDL (Simple Direct-Media Layer) and Freetype 2.
wGuis purpose is to fill the small niche of a GUI library for SDL. There are actually three well known alternatives: LibUta, ParaGUI and aedGui. wGui was spawned from the work of another project (as was LibUta), which I may someday actually get back to.
This was designed to have as few dependencies as possible, and currently only relies upon SDL and Freetype. There is also no platform dependent code, which means it should work properly on any platform that has SDL and Freetype.
wGui was also designed to take advantage of C++, the Standard Library, and the latest Object Oriented techniques. Unfortunately both SDL and Freetype are regular C projects, so not everything is strict C++.
Enhancements:
- The big change in this release was to support Unicode.
- Support for building in Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 has also been added.

SCAM 0.5.0

SCAM 0.5.0

SCAM is a simple system, based on GNU Make, but adding autoconf-like configuration. more>>
SCAM stands for Simple Configure for Automatic Makefiles.

SCAM is a simple system, based on GNU Make, but adding autoconf-like configuration.

Autoconf usually takes ages to update a configuration just for a simple program, and adds kilobytes of unusefull checks about compiler and system. Also it sort of need the GNU automake for several tasks.

Both automake and autoconf can be replaced by SCAM on basic GNU/Linux systems with standard GNU Make.

Of course SCAM generate Makefiles that are at least as compatibles as automake ones to allow creation of Debian packages (my actual quality test).

Jude 0.5.0

Jude 0.5.0

Jude is a RAD tool for data management applications. more>>
Jude is a rapid application development tool that permits to formalize a problem and then obtain a full featured and easy to use data management, workgroup application that can be further adapted implementing specific agents.

Jude is based on a knowledge-base with an object-oriented structure on the server side and a compound-document, agent-based user interface on the client side.

Relational database, Object-Oriented database, document-management systems, XML documents, compound-documents, declarative programming, agent-based systems and Java are well understood technologies but when you use them alone in order to build data-management applications you encounter many problems.

For example relational databases management systems cannot support new data types and for some applications the allowed data are not sufficient. They lack support for long-transactions.

The development of an application using object-oriented database management systems encourages procedural coding over declarative coding and this tends to produce code hard to maintain because there are many relationships between different parts of the program. Jude tries to join all benefits of these technologies in a coherent application framework.

Jude permits developers to specify an abstract, simplified view of the world we wish to represent using an high-level, declarative, object-oriented language and then to obtain a full functional work-group application. Jude try to join in a simple but powerful way many powerful programming paradigms: object-oriented, declarative, agent-based and compound-document.

Developers can extend application functionalities adding new agents to the system. Developers can reuse already specified knowledge-base clusters (there are already clusters related to physics, organization relationships, chemical). Developers can reuse already specified agents, in particular agents related to user interface.

Jude permits users to manage (view, edit, retrieve) documents and structured informations using a coherent and simple to grasp environment based on Java and Swing library.

SOJO 0.5.0

SOJO 0.5.0

SOJO is a Java framework that converts JavaBeans to a simplified representation. more>>
SOJO is a Java framework that converts JavaBeans (complex Java-Object graphs) to a simplified representation, so that handling access to JavaBeans properties is easy and uniform.
SOJO framework is meant to compliment POJOs in cases where object orientation is not supported or is not the best decision.
The possible property types, that are supported by a JavaBean (and SOJO) can be broken into three groups:
Simple: Simple properties are such as int, long, double (primitive data types) or a simple object (such as a java.lang.String, java.lang.Long, java.uilt.Date and so on). The net.sf.sojo.reflect.ReflectionHelper is to be responsible for define classes, which are simple (can get with method isSimpleType). With the method addSimpleType can add more types at runtime.
Iterateable: An Iterateable property stores a collection of objects that can be accessed by an integer-valued (index, non-negative) or by an iterator. Interfaces for this category are java.util.List, java.util.Set or the super interface java.util.Collection. An Iterateable property can be also an array.
Map: A Map property is a property with a implementation from the java interface java.util.Map. The elements are composite key-value pairs. You can set and retrieve individual values via a key.
The outcome of this categories of JavaBeans-properties are kinds of conversion. The main classes for conversions are the Java interface net.sf.sojo.Conversion respectively the abstract implementation net.sf.sojo.AbstractConversion. The first extensions are net.sf.sojo.SimpleConversion and net.sf.sojo.ConversionIterator. The net.sf.sojo.ConversionIterator is splitting in net.sf.sojo.ComplexConversion and net.sf.sojo.IterateableConversion.
For different kind of properties (category) exist different kind of strategies for conversions:
SimpleConversion: Convert a simple to a simple type. A example is the transformation from String to Long. For this problem you can use the:net.sf.sojo.conversion.Simple2SimpleConversion
ConversionIterator: is splitting in sub classes:
IterateableConversion: This category is equivalent to JavaBean category iterateable. Conversions implementations are: net.sf.sojo.conversion.Iterateable2IterateableConversion or net.sf.sojo.conversion.IterateableMap2MapConversion or net.sf.sojo.conversion.IterateableMap2BeanConversion
ComplexConversion: This category is equivalent to JavaBean category map. Conversions implementations are: net.sf.sojo.conversion.ComplexBean2MapConversion
Enhancements:
- A List, Set, Map, or Array that contains JavaBeans may be sorted.
- Filtering by equals, hashCode, and compare is supported.
- Filtering by regexp is supported. Many bugs were fixed.

rCalc 0.5.0

rCalc 0.5.0

rCalc is a scientific calculator for the GNOME desktop environment. more>>
rCalc is a scientific calculator for the GNOME desktop environment. It aims to occupy the middle ground between simple `point-and-click calculators and full featured mathematical packages, and hopefully take some of the best of both worlds.

The goal of the project has been to create a system that combines convenience and simplicity with power and versatility: to create a program which is which has an intuitive user interface and a powerful core.

Adding up should be as simple as on a handheld calculator, yet the more complex features should be there as required.

Pydar 0.5.0

Pydar 0.5.0

Pydar is a digital audio recorder providing scheduled recording of radio programs. more>>
Pydar is a digital audio recorder providing scheduled recording of radio programs. It provides scheduling recording of radio programmes. Pydar can compress programmes on the fly into either Ogg Vorbis or Ogg Speex formats as well as recording to uncompressed Microsoft WAV files. Pydar is free software licensed under the GNU General Public License.
Pydar will run only on GNU/Linux or similar operating systems which have the Linux binary interface exactly (pydar directly uses the kernel interface to tune the radio.
Pydar requires Python >= 2.2 (probably), PyGTK >= 2.0.0, Libglade >= 2.0.0 to run together with at and sox to schedule recordings. Pydar does not require any GNOME specific libraries but does follow the GNOME Human Interface Guidelines (please report deviations from the HIG as bugs).
Users running Redhat GNU/Linux 9.0 must upgrade PyGTK before pydar will function correctly. The RPMs provided in Fedora Core (pygtk2, pygtk2-devel, pygtk2-libglade) have been tested and are known to work.
Enhancements:
- TODO, pydar, src/pydar.glade, src/pydar/gui.py, src/pydar/tuner.py: Added a few warning/confirmation dialogs. Added a few beeps when dumb stuff happens. Improved error reporting by being more conservative about swallowing exceptions

SunUO 0.5.0

SunUO 0.5.0

SunUO is a Ultima Online game server that runs on Mono. more>>
SunUO is a free Ultima Online server for Linux/Mono and Windows.NET, based on RunUO. Ultima Online is a commercial MMORPG by Origin / Electronic Arts.
I created this fork of RunUO because I wanted to improve it, but the RunUO team refused to talk to me.
SunUO is designed to be a drop-in replacement for RunUO. No manual changes are required to port an existing RunUO 1.0.0 shard to SunUO.
Main features:
- SunUO is more stable than RunUO (exception handlers); a buggy script does not crash the server
- SunUO runs on Mono 1.1 (Linux, FreeBSD, ...) out of the box
- SunUO makes script compilation optional; a fresh install starts in about 3 seconds, including world load
- SunUO supports multiple script libraries; this helps keeping tidiness
- SunUO introduces a configuration file; having to edit source code to configure a shard sucks (ever upgraded to a new RunUO version? Then you know what I mean)
- SunUO is not vulnerable to the directory entry order faction bug, which may break all faction memberships and town ownerships in some cases. The RunUO team refuses to accept this as a bug, stating that .NET automatically sorts directory entries (which is plain wrong).
Enhancements:
- This release supports UO client version 6.
