MCP2510 Bit Timing Calculator 1.0

MCP2510 Bit Timing Calculator project is a bit timing calculator for the MCP2510. more>>
MCP2510 Bit Timing Calculator project is a bit timing calculator for the MCP2510.

It is a bit timing calculator which is very easy to use.

All you have to do is to choose the baudrate and the oscilator-frequency.

Sure you can edit and change all setting. You will see a graphical bit timing diagram which show you your current options.

At the end you will get a detailed report of your choosen options. See an example here: mcp2510btn

HowTo

On the first step you have to choose your wished baudrate and the oscilator-frequency.

Second you will get a great table with all avaible baudrate for you oscilator-frequency. The are already choosen some baudrates if your baudrate equals with some on the table. Otherwise you have to select them manually, but you will get deviations to you choosen baudrate. You will the the deviation in percent at the right table.

When you are ready you can go forward to step three.
Here you have first to select your wanted Nominal Bit Time Screenshot 2 [Step 3]and then you can edit/change to values for the single segments of a bit timing.

- On XEmacs, Use efc-xemacs-query-options, i.e., a GUI dialog box instead of a text dialog box, only if use-dialog-box is nonnil.
- Fixes bug in ProjectClasses to avoid duplicate entries of imports.
- Updated JDEEs Ant interface to force use of pipes to interact with external Ant process.
- Fixed regression that caused jde-help-class-member to issue a Lisp error.
- Fixed regression in jde-wiz-update-class-list command.
- Fixed regression that caused JDEbug to issue a Lisp error when launching an application.
- Thanks to Martin Schwamberger.
- Revise the following templates to conform to CheckStyle requirements:
- jde-gen-deep-clone-template
- jde-gen-to-string-method-template
- jde-gen-bean-template
- Thanks to Martin Schwamberger.
- Added the following code generation templates:
- jde-gen-exception
- Generates an exception class in the current buffer.
- jde-gen-exception-buffer
- Generates a buffer containing an exception class.
- jde-gen-hashcode-method
- Generates a hashcode method at point.
- jde-gen-equals-method
- Generates an equals method at point.
- jde-gen-tostring-method
- Generates a toString method that uses Apaches
- ToStringBuilder class.
- Thanks to Ole Arndt.
- Enhanced jde-run-option-classpath to allow you to specify that the JDEE should omit the classpath argument when running the class or application in the current buffer, regardless of the setting of jde-global-classpath.
- Fixed regression that caused the JDEE to switch projects during debugging when stepping into code that does not belong to the project being debugged.
- Updated regular expressions used by the JDEEs interface to jdb to accommodate non-English punctuation styles for numeric expressions in debugger messages, e.g.,
- 1.200 for a line number where the English would write 1,200.
- Thanks to Morten B. Isaksen.
- In previous releases, building javadoc caused all future uses of compilation mode to try to
- display the javadoc. This release fixes the problem.
- Thanks to David Evers.
- Updated the submit-problem-report command to include an XEmacs users init.el file.

HTML Include 0.20

HTML Include 0.20

HTML Include solves the problem that the Hypertext Markup Language doesnt know a command. more>>
HTML Include solves the problem that the Hypertext Markup Language doesnt know a command for including other files into a source file. HTML Include uses specially styled comments to refer to other files, which will be inserted at this position.
Unlike to the well known Server Side Include mechanism, this tool pre-processes the HTML files, resulting in files that have all referenced source files directly embedded. Thus it does not depend on any Web-server for correct appearance.
As a bonus, HTML Include also writes the current date to the "last modification" line and brower meta, which you usually forget (or do not bother) to update.
Enhancements:
- This release adds Current Date Replacement for both Custom Tag and Browser Meta Line.
- Tags are now allowed to appear anywhere in the text, not just on single lines.
- This release can process multiple input files.
- The package has been autoconfiscated.

Gip Internet Protocol Calculator 1.6.1-1

Gip Internet Protocol Calculator 1.6.1-1

Gip is a GNOME application for making IP address-based calculations. more>>
Gip is an IP address calculator that integrates well with the GNOME desktop environment.

Gip provides system administrators with tools for IP address based calculations. For example, an administrator who needs to find out which IP prefix length equals the IP netmask 255.255.240.0, just types in the mask and gets the prefix length presented. But many more advanced calculations can be made.

Gip can convert an address range into a list of prefix lengths. It can also split subnets using a given IP netmask or IP prefix length. Many more calculations are possible.

Apophenia 0.20-02Jun07

Apophenia is an open statistical library. more>>
Apophenia is an open statistical library. Apophenia project provides functions on the same level as those of the typical stats package (such as OLS, probit, or singular value decomposition) but doesnt tie the user to an ad hoc language or environment.
The core functions are written in C, but are designed to be easy to bind to functions in Perl/Phython/&c. You can even do statistics from the command line if you prefer.
It is written to scale well.
If you have tried to analyze your gigabyte data set using other open source tools but found that they werent up to handling large data sets or exceptionally computationally-intensive work, Apophenia is the library for you.
To date, the library has over a hundred functions to facilitate statistical computing, including:
- maximum likelihood estimators for probit, Waring, Yule, Zipf, &c. estimators
- OLS and GLS
- database querying and maintenance utilities
- moments, percentiles, and other basic stats utilities
- singular value decomposition tools
- t-tests, F-tests, et cetera

Templayer 1.4

Templayer 1.4

Templayer is a layered template library for Python. more>>
Templayer is a layered template library for Python. Templayer currently supports only HTML generation, but its simple design is easily extended to support other file formats.
Templayer was created to offer an alternative to the more common ways of generating dynamic HTML: embedding code within the HTML (PHP etc.) , or embedding HTML within code (traditional CGI).
Neither of these methods allow for a clean separation of the form, or layout, of a page and the function of page generation. Instead of mixing HTML and Python, two rich and extremely expressive languages, we can add a small amount of syntax to each and keep the two separate and coherent.
Enhancements:
- Added a django_form convenience function for using Templayer with the Django web frameworks FormWrapper objects.
- Added an allow_degenerate parameter to Template.__init__. If set to True then a template file that is missing a contents block will be accepted and not cause an exception to be raised.
- Added a special layer name * that treats the entire contents of a template file as a layer.
- Added two new HTML Markup elements: - (pluralize,count,singular_markup,plural_markup) inserts singular_markup if count equals one, and plural_markup otherwise. - (&,entity) inserts the given HTML entity where valid entity values include "gt", "#161" and "#xA9".
- FileLayer.close now returns the file object to which it wrote.
- This simplifies the code required to use Templayer in Django view functions.
- Fixed a really obvious bug in the html_href function.

ImageInfo 1.9

ImageInfo 1.9

ImageInfo is a free Java class to retrieve properties from image files. more>>
ImageInfo is a free Java class to retrieve properties from image files.

The following file formats are currently supported: JPEG, PNG, GIF, BMP, PCX, IFF, RAS, PBM, PGM, PPM and PSD (read why TIFF is not included). ImageInfo can recognize these formats, and in addition determine image width, height and color depth (bits per pixel).

Also check out ffident, my file format (group) and MIME type identification library. It extracts less information than ImageInfo (it only recognizes the format, no metadata), but it supports more formats and new formats can be added by editing a text file. Similar to file(1) / magic(5).

Using ImageInfo from within a Java application or applet

The image file can be any InputStream object or an instance of a class implementing DataInput (like RandomAccessFile). Here is some sample code on how to use the class:

ImageInfo ii = new ImageInfo();
// in can be InputStream or RandomAccessFile (or DataInput)
ii.setInput(in);
/* if you want to know how many images there are in a file,
uncomment the following line; will slow down ImageInfo
with animated GIFs */
//ii.setDetermineImageNumber(true);

// check does the actual work, you wont get results before
// you have called it
if (!ii.check())
{
System.err.println("Not a supported image file format.");
}
else
{
System.out.println(
ii.getFormatName() + ", " +
ii.getMimeType() + ", " +
ii.getWidth() + " x " + ii.getHeight() + " pixels, " +
ii.getBitsPerPixel() + " bits per pixel, " +
ii.getNumberOfImages() + " image(s).");
// there are other properties, check out the API documentation
}

Using ImageInfo as a command line program

ImageInfo also has a main method that makes it a command line tool. Assuming that ImageInfo.class is in your classpath, giving the class to java with some file names as arguments will be sufficient. Here is an example call including output:

$ java ImageInfo test.jpg
test.jpg
File format: JPEG
MIME type: image/jpeg
Width (pixels): 1556
Height (pixels): 2048
Bits per pixel: 24
Progressive: false
Number of images: 1
Physical width (dpi): 300
Physical height (dpi): 300
Physical width (inches): 5.1866665
Physical height (inches): 6.826667

Zim 0.20

Zim 0.20

Zim is a WYSIWYG text editor written in Gtk2-Perl. more>>
Zim is a WYSIWYG text editor written in Gtk2-Perl. Zim aims at bringing the concept of a wiki to your desktop. For example every page is saved as a text file with wiki markup. Pages can contain links to other pages, and are saved automatically.
Creating a new page is as easy as linking to a non-existing page. This tool is intended to keep track of TODO lists or serve as a personal scratch book.
Development on Zim started september 2005. This means there is no stable version yet. We are currently in beta testing. New releases will be announced on freshmeat. Please subscribe there to stay in touch.
Zim handles several types of markup, like headings, bullet lists and of course bold, italic and highlighted. This markup is saved as wiki text so you can easily edit it with other editors. Because of the autosave feature you can switch between pages and follow links while editing without worries.
Enhancements:
- Among other fixes, a bug where zim would hang on "new link" on some platforms was fixed, as well as a bug that could corrupt links on "update link".
- New features are the option to control the look of a new page through a template and to control the rendering of pages through a simple kind of stylesheet.
- Support for slow filesystems was added.
- Other improvements include better handling of formatting in the undo stack and the addition of a "document root" setting to the repository.

POWA 0.20

POWA intends to be a program to operate a Webcam. more>>
POWA intends to be a program to operate a Webcam. It supports live video, snapshot taking (with a timer or with a button), and more. # Notes: Ive had reports that the cameras using the pwc driver (Philips) dont work with POWA. I intend to fix it soon but I need a test camera since I dont have such an object.
Ive coded this program with my webcam (Creative Webcam 3) and the video stream works for me. I would like to make a list of working webcams and add support for webcams that doesnt work yet. So, if you have a webcam and you have problems with POWA, send me an email explaining the problem, or better, make a patch to make it work and send it to me.
I want to thanks Damien Sandras (GnomeMeeting) who gave me some hints.
Well thats it. It should compile with the typical "./configure ; make ; make install". Ive had problems to get the installation working. So if you go into some bugs there, dont hesitate to contact me.
POWA takes one optional argument at the command line for now, the device file (e.g. powa /dev/video1). By default, POWA will try to use the /dev/video0 device file.
Main features:
- A simple and intuitive GUI with streaming video input
- Picture saving on the filesystem (via ImageMagick, supports over 60 file formats)
- Snapshot annotation with text
- Snapshot timer
Enhancements:
- At last a new release !
- New feature: Picture annotation with text
- New feature: Timer to take a picture every X seconds
- Some graphical enhancements

jset project is an implementation of the Set board game.

The game can be played alone or on the network. The Set board game is a card game whose goal is to find matching sets of cards.

The game is played using 81 (3^4) unique cards. On each card is drawn a set of identical shapes.

These sets of shapes have 4 properties, each shape property taken from a set of 3 possibilities: color (e.g. red, blue, and green), type (e.g. rectangle, circle, and triangle), fill (e.g. empty, full, and shaded), and number (e.g. one, two, and three).

The cards are disposed on the table in front of the players. The players must try to identify matching sets of cards.
