KnotPlot 1.0

KnotPlot project is an OpenGL program that runs on most types of computers.
KnotPlot is freeware to visualize, manipulate, and physically simulate mathematical knots. Examples of what it can do can be found on the KnotPlot Site. To install KnotPlot, choose your platform in the table below, and download the required file(s). KnotPlot requires both OpenGL and the OpenGL Utility Toolkit (GLUT) to be installed on your computer.
Knots can be loaded from a database of almost 1000 knots and links or sketched by hand in three dimensions. Also, knots may be constructed via the Conway notation or using a tangle calculator.
A number of special knot types (torus knots, knot chains, Lissajous knots) may be created on the fly. Finally, new knots can be created from old knots using a number of transformations.
Enhancements:
- Celtic Knotting - This feature has been available in a hidden form for a long time (over a year), but now it is directly available off of the Sketch panel. Also included are a few example Celtic knot grids.
