PyKyra 0.4.0 description
PyKyra project is a fast game development framework for Python.
It is based in SDL and the Kyra engine. In addition to the standard features of Kyra, PyKyra also supports MPEG video, sound (MP3, Ogg Vorbis, Wav, and Multichannel module files), direct images reading, and much more.
Main features:
- Base classes: Sprite, Canvas, Image, Tile, ...
- MPEG video support
- Render in an OpenGL surface support
- Compressed data files for package images, sprites, etc..
- PNG, JPEG, GIF, BMP, TIF, PCX, etc. images support (directly or from a .dat file)
- MP3, Ogg Vorbis, WAV and multichannel module files support
- Sound channels mixing
- many others: alpha channel, scaling, etc.
