Perl HL7 Toolkit 0.74 is developed to be a helpful and beneficial application layer standard for data interfaces between applications in the medical sector, developed by the HL7 Working Group.

Major Features:

1. Net:HL7, a lightweight Perl API for parsing, formatting, manipulating, sending and receiving HL7 messages,
2. Hl7d, an implementation of a forking HL7 server for inbound interfaces, and
3. Hl7qd, an HL7 queue daemon for outbound interfaces.

Enhancements:

• This version contains an important fix on Message class to prevent execution of arbitrary code.
